As a junior counselor, you lead and support up to 55 participants (ages 14 – 18) from the United States and from Plan program countries all over the world during a 5-day overnight Summit. As you get to know these incredible teenage leaders, you also get to know the world that we share a little better.

Teach Gender Equality! Resources for Teachers

All over the world, people like you are taking action with the Because I Am a Girl initiative. Students and teachers have especially important roles to play in raising awareness about girls’ education and gender equality. That’s why we created two toolkits—one for teachers, our Educator Toolkit, and one for students, our Youth Toolkit. These short, downloadable booklets are packed with engaging resources, activities, and information designed to jump start your understanding of global challenges for girls and women.

The YUGA Leadership Summit connects high school students like you (ages 14 – 18) from across the country and around the world. Past participants have come from as far as Bangladesh, Canada, Ecuador, Haiti, Liberia, the Netherlands, and Togo. Consider it your chance to meet youth activists from other countries—and change the world together!
